NORTH HENDERSON - Jeannette E. Baker, 63, of North Henderson, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Genesis East in Davenport, Iowa.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in Candor Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where a memorial fund will be established. Online condolences can be made at www.fippingerfuneralhome.com.
She was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Moline, to Harry and Sally Michael Jones. She attended Alexis schools and married Robert L. Baker on April 29, 1976, in Woodhull.
She was a homemaker and a nurse's aide in the area for many years. Jeannette loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and was a member of North Henderson United Methodist Church. She was an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; a daughter, Pamela Higgins of Joy; a son, Robert (Natalie Ernst) Baker of Roselle; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild lovingly expected; and a brother, Rollie (Polly) Jones of Little York.
Her parents, daughter, Elaine, grandson, Ethan, and brother, Jim, preceded her in death.
