There is a special reason that a dove was chosen as the front of the prayer card.

The morning of Mom's passing (Palm Sunday), my sister Cheryl was finally able to convinced me to go to the 11 a.m. Palm Sunday Mass in the Chapel of the nursing home after not leaving my mothers side for over 2 days; we were giving our brother Ron a well needed break. I didn't want to leave, but after I thought about it, I would go for just a while and pray for her. My sister-in-law Laurie stayed with her while we were gone (it was Laurie's birthday). When the Mass was over, Cheryl and I sat for a few minutes in the hallway outside the Chapel to gather ourselves. We looked out the window and saw a lone white dove sitting just outside the window on the snow covered ground; it stayed for just a moment and then quickly flew away. We then went back upstairs to see Mom and I told her where we had been and what we saw. She was unable to communicate but I knew she could hear me. My cousin Kevin Gallant stopped by to visit as I was talking to her. She passed less than a half hour later while I held her hand as I told her "Dad was waiting for you". We opened the window just after she took her last breath to let her spirit free.

Her Loving son,
Gary (I miss you Mom)
