Richard is the second son of John & Lucille Eskelson. Sometime after 1947 the family moved to Cove, Utah next door to his grandma & grandpa Eskelson. Richard was not big like his other two brothers, but was smaller in stature. He had Rheumatic fever so he spent much of his time learning how to do canning and all kinds of other things from his mother instead of the farming and outdoor things from his dad. He married Dixie Lee Daines in the Logan LDS Temple in 1960 and they had 6 children.
He was diagnoised with Lymphoma and passed away in a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.
