MARIE DOSS ABNER, age 84, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 21, 1999 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky.

She was born in Wayne County, KEntucky on June 22, 1915, the daughter of Harve and Mattie Tackett Doss. Both parents preceded her in death.

She married Lloyd Abner, who preceded her in death in 1973.

SHe is survived by 6 children Mary Denney and Phyllis Boatman, both of
Monticello, Kentucky, Jimmie Groce of New Castle, Indiana, Raymond Abner of Monticello, Kentucky, Eddie Abner of Ravenna, Ohio, and Kenneth Abner of Monticello, KEntucky; 1 brother George Doss of Monticello, Kentucky; 1 sister Louise Barnes of Monticello, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is 1 great grandchild, 1 sister, and 3 brothers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 24, 1999 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jessie Hammond officiating. Burial was in Elk Spring Cemetery.

Hoyt G. Hickey & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
