Sarah and Walter farmed in Williston, Charlotte, and then in Waltham, Vermont. They raised a family of 4 sons and a daughter.
Sarah was a member of the Vergennes Congregational Church, and a charter member of the Autumn Years Club of Vergennes.
Sarah died at the Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, Vermont, on January 28, 1981. She was survived by three sons, Warren Yantz of Ferrisburg, Douglas Yantz of Vergennes, and Allen Yantz of Waltham; and one daughter, Mrs. Hilda Goodyear of Houston, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Kennedy of Connecticut.
Sarah was predeceased by her husband Walter, and a son, Charles.
