Burton David Yarian
October 28, 1919 - October 15, 2009
Burton David Yarian 89 years old, went home to be with his Lord on October 15, 2009 after a long and satisfying life, spending his last 25 years in Indiana with family and friends. He enjoyed reading and was an avid bridge player. Dave was a graduate of Shortridge High School and Butler University. After serving as a decorated Major in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, he worked 35 years in Longview, Texas as a production control manager for R. G. LeTourneau. While in Texas, Dave was an elder at the Alpine and Glover Church of Christ, and recently, was a member of North Central Church of Christ in Indianapolis. Dave was preceded in death by toddler-age sibling, William Maxwell Yarian; his wife of 36 years, Christine Arnold of Longview, Texas; his brother, Charles E. Yarian of Carmel; and parents, Burton D. Yarian and Mary Esther (Johnson) of Indianapolis. Dave is survived by his sons, James R. Yarian (Darlene) of Florence, SC; and David A. Yarian (Sandi Anders) of Nashville, TN; 6 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his loving sister, Joan Yarian Chapman of Carmel; Carolyn (Fisher) Yarian of Carmel; as well as several nieces and nephews. All services will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at North Central Church of Christ, 9015 Westfield Boulevard, Indianapolis, IN. Calling will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:30 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
