Virginia I. "Ginny" Schneider, 87, of Battle Ground, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in her home.

She was born in Plainfield, Indiana to the late Victor and Carrie King Sheek. She married Charles H. Girton in 1942. She later married Robert G. Schneider. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughter, Lyda Goldsmith (Marshall) of Rancho Santa Fe, California and grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Ann Goldsmith of Chicago and Bryan Christopher Goldsmith of Newport Beach, California.
