Lola Pounds Caver, 87, Florence, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 16, after a brief illness.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Jackson Heights Church of Christ, with Brian Jarrett, Ronnie Pannell and Willie Hamblen officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home today from 5-8 pm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Caver, son-in-law, Ralph Bishop, and gransdon, Todd Foust.
Mrs. Caver's life was devoted to God, her home and family and the church. She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, where she performed numerous acts of service and for over 35 years faithfully supported her husband's work as an elder. As a mother and grandmother, she was an inspiration and guide.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dot Bishop, Russellville, Betty and Willie Hamblen, Florence, Glenda and Ed Foust, Florence; grandchildren and spouses, Ralph Bishop Jr. and Betsy, Chris Bishop and Leta, Monica Ross and Greg, Ginger McGuire, Kevin Foust and Jeanne, and Rachel Foust; great-grandchildren, Clayton and Will Bishop, Olivia and Noah Bishop, Erin and Daniel Ross, Hannah and Abby Foust.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Bishop Jr., Chris Bishop, Kevin Foust, Greg Ross, Stan Gossett and Russell Thorne.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Children Homes, 6372 County Road 63, Florence, 35634; Heritage Christian University, P.O. Box HCU. Florence, 35630; or Mars Hill Bible School, 698 Cox Creek Parkway, Florence, 35630.
Greenview Funeral Home of Florence is directing.

Lola Pounds Caver, 87, of Florence, Ala., died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, after a brief illness.
She was born in Prentiss County to the late Eldon and Nina Pounds. She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, where she performed numerous acts of service for over 35 years.
Services were Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. at Jackson Heights Church with Brian Jarrett, Ronnie Pannell and Willie Hamblin officiating. Burial was in the Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Greenview Funeral Home of Florence was in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three daughters, Dot Bishop of Russellville, Ala., Betty and Willie Hamblin of Florence, Glenda and Ed Foust of Florence; three sisters, Erlene Thompson of Lorain, Ohio, Mary Crabb and Charles, Virginia Goddard and Smith, all of Booneville; grandchildren, Ralph Bishop Jr. and Betsy, Chris Bishop and Leta, Monica Ross and Greg, Ginger McGuire, Kevin Foust and Jeanie and Rachel Foust; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Caver, a son-in-law, Ralph Bishop; a grandson, Todd Foust; her brother, James Thurmon Pounds; and a sister, Lorene Eaton.
Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
