MARGARET BALLENGER

The following notice from the Gospel Trumpet refers to the death of a lady who was known in this city and county: “Died – Sept 30, 1891, Margaret Ballenger. She was born March 2, 1807, united in marriage to Edward Ballenger, Oct 20, 1825, and was aged eighty-four years, six months and twenty-eight days. Mother Ballenger leaves four children, thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and a very large circle of friends to mourn her departure. But all have this consolation – that all is well with her. She prayed the dear Lord to take her home to himself and she passed peacefully away. The funeral was conducted by Brother S. L. Speck, in the Nichols Chapel in Kosciusko county, Indiana."
