Fosston, Minn. Pvt. Co. G, 160th Inf. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Berg. Entered service June 26th, 1918. Died from pneumonia at Argonne Forest Oct 7, 1918. Final resting place at Froen cemetery, Fosston, Minn. John Berg attended Fosston school and college at Grand Forks, N. D. He was quiet and studious, interested in farming, and was a member of the Froen Lutheran church at Fosston.
