Mrs. Blount was a native of Washington County and had made her home in Baldwin County for most of her adult life.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Ruby Lee Taylor Collins, and was the widow of the late John Edwin Blount. She was a retired employee of Central State Hospital, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Smith and Cheryl (Ricky)
Reeves of Milledgeville; sons, Charles Blount of Milledgeville and George Berkeley Blount of Texas now stationed in Iraq, a sister Mrs. Carrie Pounds of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Darenda Tipton of Macon, Jimmy Heiden of Milledgeville, Gayle Babb of Jones County, Jessica Blount, Cheryl Blount and Heather Blount all of Texas, Jonathan Charles Blount of Boston, MA, David Blount of California, and Taylor Reeves of Milledgeville; 4 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends here at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
