Dale D. Darst

Dale D. Darst, Sr., 65, of 1221 Linden Ave., retired coal miner and painter, was dead on arrival at Good Samaritan Medical Center at 3:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home.

Mr. Darst was born July 29, 1911, in Middleport, but had been a resident of this area for 19 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith and an army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his widow, Peggy Lewis Darst, whom he married in 1946; three sons, Dale Jr. of 1121 Putnam Ave., and Robert V. and Joseph of the home; seven daughters, Mrs. Linda Haught of the home, Mrs. Tina Hayes of 1214 Putnam Ave., Mrs. Debbie Parrish and Miss Peggy Darst, both of Vallejo, Calif., Miss Mary Darst, Miss Deedee Darst and Miss Misty Darst, all of the home; a brother, Clarence Darst of Huntington, W.Va., three sisters, Mrs. Frances Davidson of Langsville, O., Mrs. Edna Davidson of Rutland, O., and Miss Garnet Darst of Louisville, Ky., and 13 grandchildren.

The body is at the Bolin Funeral Home where friends may call 7 to 9 this evening.
