She was born to Dee and Mary Jackson Rauls. On March 15, 1958 she married Dale Martin in Gainesville. She was a co-owner and operator of Dale's Carpet Shop for years. She was with Linda Jo Shoe Company more than 20 years and worked at the Gainesville Memorial Hospital before her retirement. She loved cooking, walking and working in the yard.
She professed the Baptist faith. She had 2 sons, and 2 daughters, 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and two sisters; She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Larry Joe Welch and sister, Robbie Sansing.
She died at the Renaissance Health & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 74.
