Minnie C. Atwell Turrentine Atwell, 92, Iberia, died February 3, 2001,
at Capital Region Medical Center (Jefferson City). She was born February
19, 1908, in Miller County, a daughter of William J. and Florence I. Jeffery
Atwell. She was married May 29, 1927, in St. Louis, to John Carroll
Turrentine, who died March 29, 1966. She was married Oct. 8, 1977, in
Iberia to Thomas Leslie Atwell, who died July 14, 1991.

She moved to Iberia from St. Louis in 1947. She was a member of Robert
Morris Eastern Star Chapter 328, St. Louis, and the Iberia Community Club.
She worked as a stitcher in the shoe manufacturing business. She attended
Iberia First Christian Church.

Survivors include: three daughters, Lois P. Kochenower and Florence
Schubert, both of Iberia, and Geraldine Thompson, Cabool; one stepdaughter,
Esther Groff, Iberia; one stepson, Thomas Atwell, state of Washington; two
brothers, Harry Atwell, Iberia, and David Allen Atwell, St. Charles; 14
grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; step
grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Doris Louise Turrentine, preceded her in death.
