ADAMS

Jacob Adams was born in McHenry, Illinois, on January 23, 1873. Soon after his parents moved to Mitchell county, and on February 29, 1882, his father died, and on March 10, 1887, his mother. Although still a young man he has by hard work and saving gained quite a fortune.

In 1898, he married Miss Bertha Mattson. Three children blessed their home of which the oldest is six years of age. Since his marrage his home has been at Stacyville with the exception of a year when he worked a farm for Mr. Hanson. He has been sick for more than a year and died Friday morning, July 14, at 7:154 a.m. He has seven brothers and two sisters. Joe Adam came from DeGraff, Minnesota, some time ago. A message was sent to Martin Adams who was at St. Paul and fortunately he arrived about five hours before his brother's death.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends and neighbors.

The funeral services were held at Stacyville by Rev. J. Naebers at St. Mary's church.
