-Mrs. Elizabeth Barkman, wife of Isaac Barkman, died at their residence in Newcastle township last Saturday, Aug. 31st, and was buried at the Hamlet burying ground Monday, attended by a large concourse of neighbors and friends. The services were conducted by Rev. A. E. Babcock. Mrs. Barkman was a very exemplary woman, beloved and admired by all who knew her. She was a faithful member of the Baptist church for several years and died full of hope of entering upon a life of eternal bliss. Her age was about forty-five.
