Pearl B. Anderson, 85, of Huntingdon R.D. 4, died at 4:49 p.m., Monday, March 8, 1983 in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday morning. She had been in failing health for the past year.

Born in McConnellstown on Nov. 24, 1897, she was a daughter of William H. and Sarah B. (Gilbaugh) Bupp. She was united in marriage to Chester I. Anderson Sr. on May 26, 1917 in Greensburg, PA. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1970.

She is survived by five children, Chester I. Jr. of Baltimore, Md., Lehman V. of Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. Frank (Jean) Bayges of Huntingdon R. D. 4, Mrs. Walter (Maxine) Streightiff of Huntingdon and Richard W. of Huntingdon R.D. 4; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Harold T. (Hazel) Underwood of Maryland and Mrs. Russell (Mary) Cresswell of Mount Union R. D. There are a number of nieces and nephews.

A brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Educated in the McConnellstown Public Schools, she resided in the Philadelphia area prior to returning to Huntingdon in May 1966.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, from the John B. Brown Funeral home in Huntingdon, PA, the Rev. Thomas W. Owens officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Pa.
