Edith "Emily" Adelia Howard, age 62, passed away October 13, 2008 in Prove Utah.

She was born May 22, 1946 in Dragerton to Oscar Edward and Carrie Lee (Cloud) Jonson. Married John Howard April 26, 1986 in Carbonville Utah.

Emily enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and especially gardening. She was well-known throughout the area for her famous tomatoes. She shared a special love for animals and was happiest when spoiling her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survived by her husband John Howard of Ferron: two daughters and four sons; Darlene (Michael( Lofley of Price Utah, David (Dawn) Utley of Farmington NM, Eva (Jimmy) Fernandez of El Paso Texas, Cody (Lynette) Jackson of Grand Junction Colorado, Kandy Jackson of Artisia NM, and Jonathan Howard Of Ferron Utah; Grandchildren, Michael and Amanda; Danielle, Shantel and Shaylene; Skylor and Douglas; Vanessa, Requel and Shaina; Serina, Angelic and Chantelle; Andrew and Sean. Great-grandchildren, Klara and Desmond; Brionna and Thomas; Braxton and Laska; and Kelly. Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Pete and Darlene Howard of Carbonville Utah. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Cody Utley, and one sister, Edna Onita Knuckles.

Graveside services Friday, October 17, 2008, noon, Schofield Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

*Emily first married Frank Utley on May 13, 1961 in Dove Creek Colorado. To this union two children were born; Darlene and David.

Emily had three sisters; Wilma Lindquist, Carol Barlow and Edna Knuckles.

Grandparents were the late Lee Cloud and Mamie (Skelton) Cloud of Norwood Colorado.
