Frances Mazur, 78, passed away on June 10, 2009, in Gladwin after a long illness. She was born on May 31, 1931 in Clinchco, Virginia to Oscar & Bessie (Reedy) Sexton.

She first married Herman Boggs. He preceeded her in death in 1976.

Then she married Richard Mazur on December 10, 1983.

She was employed as a dietician at Almont Hospital in Almont, Michigan.

She had lived in Gladwin County for the last 12 years, previously residing in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

She loved to cook & was well known for her strawberry jam & bread & butter pickles.

She is survived by her husband: Richard of Gladwin.

Sons: Jim (Nancy) Boggs of Kentucky, Doug (Karen) Boggs of Romeo, Michigan.

Daughter: Vickie (Scott) Boos of Minnesota.

Grandchildren: Chad, Angie, Kelly, Jason, Casey, & Lisa.

13 Great Grandchildren.

Sister: Betty Chandler of Madison Heights, Michigan.

Several nieces & nephews.

She was predeased by 1st husband Herman Boggs, parents, her son Kerry, brother Sonny, & sister Bonnie.

According to wishes of the family, cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 8th at the Romeo/Bruce Township VFW Hall from 12-5 PM.
At that time, Fran's ashes will be buried in the Romeo Cemetery with her son Kerry & 1st husband, Herman Boggs.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
