Karen M. Cronin BROCKTON Karen M. (Smith) Cronin, 62 years, of Brockton, died June 9, 2009, surrounded by her family. Raised in Mission Hill, she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Linda C. (Doherty) Smith. Karen received her master's degree in business administration from UMass-Dartmouth and had been a systems analyst for many years at Massasoit College, until 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She also loved the beach, traveling, her soap operas and Elvis. Karen is survived by her children, Denise Masaitis and her husband Mike of Warren, R.I., Kevin Cronin and his wife Dianne of East Bridgewater, Kaulene Cronin of East Taunton, Joseph Jay Cronin and his wife Kerri of Middleboro; grandchildren, Kelsea, Madisonn, Delainey and Patrick Cronin, Jordan and Kasey Masaitis and Matteo Salemme; stepsisters, Denice Mattioli and Darlene Spencley; sister-in-law, Diane Smith; former husband, Francis Butch Cronin; dear friend, Noreen Fitzgibbons; beloved cat, Suekey; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dennis Smith. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Funeral Mass in Mission Church, 1545 Tremont St., Boston, Monday, at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
