Shirley Jeanne Crunk went home to be with the Lord and to meet the family members who preceded her in death on Sunday, June 7, 2009. Her suffering was brief and she was ready to go home.
Funeral: Noon Friday at St. Rita Catholic Church, 5550 East Lancaster St. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday at historic Baker Funeral Home, with rosary 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Shirley was a homemaker and an au pair, but most of all she was a child of God who received special favor from him. Such an elegant lady, she helped whoever came her way. Shirley was the embodiment of Christ's love.
She was preceded in death by husband, George Crunk; daughters, Michelle Lola Crunk and Elizabeth Crunk Jackson; parents, Alex and Lola Lorenz; brother, Stanford Jude; grandparents, Inez and Raymond Narcisse.
Survivors: Her daughters, Judith, Cheryl, Leslie, Linda and Kim; sons, Clarence Middlebrooks, Steven Taylor, Demetrius Jackson, Danny Carey; grandchildren, Demetria, Cherie, Courtney, Brandon, Brittany and Chauncy; great-grandchildren, Shaheed, Brandon Jr., Haleigh, Skylar, Brandi, Landon, Kennedy, Carrington, Colby, Natalie, Kaydee, D'narian, LaDerrick Jr.; great-nieces and nephews, Tammie, Charles Jr., Gina, Tereina and Kimberly; many other nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
