Nettie May was born in Scurry, Texas, to the late John and Nettie May (Newton) Simkins. She worked for W.T. Grants for 20 years and then retired from Cox's Department Store. She was a long time member of Sparks Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dellinger was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Lynch Dellinger in 1972; a son, Donald Ray Dellinger; six sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice Elaine Harrell, of Dallas; grandchildren, Rochelle Elaine Smith and Donald Ray Harrell; great-grandchildren, Kiara and Devron; and several nieces and nephews.
