Monte Lee Duncan, 38, 1741 Pumphouse Road, Mitchell, died at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday February 22, 2009, at his residence, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born June 6, 1970, in Bedford, he was the son of Bradley Duncan and Helen Kent. He married Shane Roll in Bedford in 1994.
He was the owner/operator of Duncan's Structural Solutions.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Shane Duncan of Mitchell; four children, Eric Duncan, Derek Duncan, Brooklyn Duncan and Dorian Duncan, all of Mitchell; one grandson, Kayden Monte Duncan of Mitchell; four sisters, Vicki Rogers, Sheila Gilstrap, Rita Gilstrap and Jennifer Duncan, all of Mitchell; one stepsister, Cathy Russell of Arizona; his mother, Helen Kent of Mitchell; his stepfather, Joe Kent of Mitchell; his father, Bradley Duncan of Mitchell; five brothers, Charlie Meadows of Bedford and Bradley Eugene Duncan, Leroy Duncan, Clifford Duncan and Mark Duncan, all of Mitchell; and one stepbrother, Jeffrey Kent of Mitchell.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cresthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
