William married Beulah M. Alsop on July 1, 1948. They had three children, Rudy, Vicki Lynn and Christina Kay Wilkinson.

After Beulah died in 1982, William married Virginia (-?-) Smith. William and Virginia did not have any children together, but Virginia had three children, one daughter and two sons, with her husband prior to marrying William.

STEWARTSVILLE -- William Claude Wilkinson, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at his home in Poseyville of cancer.
He was the owner and operator of Lentz-Wilkinson Welding Service in Grayville.
During World War II he was a Navy deep sea diver and repaired and welded ships and submarines.
He was a member of Stewartsville United Methodist Church and the Grayville Ill., Sheba Masonic Lodge and American Legion Post 698.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia; two daughters, Vickie Warner of Bowling, Ohio, and Tina Barton of Mount Gilead, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Pat Peach of Mount Carmel, Ill.; a son, Rudy of Columbus, Ohio; two stepsons, Steve Smith of Lucerne and Ralph Smith of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; five sisters, Helen Anderson and Phyllis A. Werry, both of New Harmony, Jean Eagleson of Fort Myers, Fla., Mary Lee Nix of Poseyville, and Nancy Johnson of Veedersburg; two brothers, Ermal C. Jr. of Gainesville, Fla., and John of New Harmony; 10 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Werry Funeral Home Poseyville Chapel, with burial in Mapel Hill Cemetery in New Harmony.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm. today and from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
