JONES at Motlow Creek Baptist Church, after which the remains were laid to rest at that place. He leaves a wife, Mrs. HARRIET ANN PIGLER ATKINS, and six children, JOE, SAM, and DEAN ATKINS , Mrs. HENRY FARMER, Mrs. GOODLETT FISHER, and Mrs. MURIEL FOWLER. Mr. ATKINS was a straight forward, honest man and had been a member of the Motlow Creek Baptist Church for many years and a deacon. he was 68 years of age and had helped in building three churches in the Motlow community. The last one which was just completed a few months ago.
A Confederate States Of America Veteran. He served in the Home Guard.
