Maxine Bradley of Ardmore, OK was the daughter of James Burton and Emma Cantrell McDaniel. She was born June 15, 1918 at Burneyville, OK. and passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 in an Ardmore healthcare facility at the age of 93.

A former resident of Marietta, Mrs. Bradley was currently making her home in Ardmore. She graduated from Courtney High School and had made her home in Rubottom, Burneyville, Fremont, CA, Arizona, Courtney and Marietta in addition to Ardmore. She married Weldon May in Marietta on February 13, 1939. Following his death she and Clifford Bradley were married in Marietta on May 22, 1945. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1999. Mrs. Bradley was a homemaker and owned and operated the Bradley Grocery in Courtney until 1975. She was well known for her delicious pies.

A member of Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore, Mrs. Bradley had previously been a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church and Marietta's Eastside Baptist Church

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lawson McDaniel and Carl McDaniel; sister, Vera Martin; son, James May; and grandson, Randy May.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Anita May Harris of Justin, TX; three grandchildren, James and Glenda May of Ardmore, LeeAnne May of Sherman, TX and Daniel May of Justin; eight great-grandchildren, Kristi Douglass and husband Tre', Tiffany Williams and husband Daniel, Malori May, Natalie May, Michael May, Dillon May and wife Lacy, Dustin May and Baleigh May; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaylie Douglass, Kaiya Douglass and Dalton May; and two nieces, Sandra White and Barbara Tolbert.

Serving as casket bearers will be Dillon May, Dustin May, Michael May, Daniel Williams, Danny May and Royce Willis.
