OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Monday, January 5, 1970:

Mrs. Croddy Of Clarksburg Dies Sunday

Mrs. Mamie H. Croddy, 81, Clarksburg, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Jackson Nursing Home where she had been residing since December 2. She had been in failing health for three months.

Mrs. Croddy was born October 9, 1888 in Grant County, the daughter of Vollney and Dorcas Jenney Reeve. She was a member of the Clarksburg Wesleyan Church and honorary member of the Greensburg American Legion. She had lived in Franklin and Decatur counties for many years.

Surviving are four sons, Roy H. Crawley, R. 5, Connersville, Raymond C. Crawley, Coldwater, Ohio, Donald E. Crawley, Greensburg and Melvin V. Crawley, R. 3, Greensburg. Three sons, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. There are ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Clarksburg Wesleyan Church with Rev. Thomas Spoonamore in charge. Burial will follow at Stipps Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Moster Mortuary, in this city, after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
