Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Lois "Sally" Griffin, 73, of Nacogdoches will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Laird Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Gandin and Bro. Butch Haltom officiating. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin died Monday, May 11, 2009, in Nacogdoches. Sally was born January 19,1936, in Timpson, Texas, to the late Barney L. Milford and Monthielde Harris. Sally was a member of the VFW auxiliary and was a member of the Union Cross Missionary Baptist Church. Sally will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She lived her life for her family, was a helper to all who reached out to her and any family in need. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Harold Lee Griffin of Nacogdoches; her three sons, Jimmy Griffin and wife, Jan, of Nacogdoches, Brad Griffin and significant other, Teresa, of Nacogdoches and Doug Wadzeck and wife, Bonnie, of Georgia; five grandchildren, Keith Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin, Kayla Nichols, Sandy Isget and Shawna Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Connor Griffin and McKenzie Nichols; and an "adopted son," Mitch Wannamaker of Denton. She is preceded by her parents; son, Thomas C. Griffin; two grandsons, Travis Roberts and Bradley Griffin; one brother, Carroll Wayne Milford. Pallbearers will be Butch Haltom, Keith Griffin, Jeff Griffin, Brian Mixon, Randy Milford and Charles Milford. Family and friends are invited to visitation from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Laird Funeral Home. Laird Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
