Carl Wriedt, 89, of 1021 Fourth St., Kiel, died at his home early this morning, following a short illness. He was born in the town of Schleswig on Dec. 24, 1866, the son of John and Emelia Rades Wriedt. He attended district schools in the township and was married to Miss Emma Henning, town of Schleswig, on Nov. 22, 1894. The couple operated farms in Schleswig and the town of New Holstein, until 40 years ago when they moved to Kiel. He was employed as a mason. His wife died in June 1943. He was also preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery.
