Peshastin Man Dies in Seattle


Arthur Henry Fischer, 38, Peshastin died in a Seattle hospital Saturday after an extended illness.


He was born in Wymore, Nebraska August 7, 1905 and was married there November 30, 1920 to Miss Nettie Lisec. In 1927, they moved to Cashmere where they lived until moving to Peshastin two years ago.


He was a member of the Methodist church at Cashmere.


Surviving besides his widow are one daughter, Beverly Ann, 11, one son, Darrell Arthur, 8, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Fischer of Wymore, Neb., four brothers, James of Monitor, Sgt Lawrence who is serving in the army at Manhattan, Kansas, Sgt Ralph also in the army at El Paso, Texas and Donald Fischer of Wymore, one sister, Miss Elenora Fischer also of Wymore.


Funeral services were held today at 2 pm at the Methodist church in Cashmere. Rev. Ernest Barber formerly of Cashmere and now of Tacoma officiated and burial was in the Cashmere cemetery. Palmer of Dryden sang accompanied by Mrs. Erickson at the organ. Pallbearers were Lewis Dari, Homer Warren, Harold Haviland, Ervin Vaughn, Charles Joy and Bill Allen. Services were under the direction of the Hennessy mortuary.
