She married Donald Hayes in 1955 and they welcomed two children into their lives, Debbie and Rick. The marriage ended in divorce.
She then married Vollie (Dude) Hunter in August 1964, and they were divorced in 1980.
In 1986, Fay was working at the Idaho Department Store in Lewiston, where she met Ed Barbee and they were married in May 1987.
Services were held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston, with burial to follow at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
