Rochester - Shirley M. Price, 67, of 31 Rochester Terrace, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at her home following a sudden illness. She was born in Lee on March 4, 1935, the daughter of George and Gladys (Demeritt) Smith. Before moving to the Rochester area eight years ago, she had lived in Pittsfield for a number of years. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Price had worked for Precision Finishing in Concord. She enjoyed bingo, crafts, crocheting and camping in Pittsburg. She also loved her pets and watching Red Sox games. She was predeceased by her husband, David Price, in 1981.
Surviving family members include two daughters, Donna Messier of Canterbury and Linda Bedell of Pittsfield; two sons, David Price, Jr. and Kevin Price, both of Pittsfield; a brother, Charles Smith of Nottingham; five sisters, Ruth Brady of Colebrook, Margaret Wheeler of Strafford, Alice Pender of Northwood, Pauline Norce of Brentwood and Joyce Smith of Newmarket; her grandchildren, Gary Messier Jr. and Amanda Messier of Canterbury, Sandy Bedell, Bonner Gayer, Gary Bedell Jr. and David Price of Pittsfield, David Amadon and Tracy Stebbins of Laconia, Jessica Frost of New Boston, Joey Clements, Justin Clements, Jen Price, Kevin Price Jr. and Danielle Perry of Pittsfield; great-grandchildren, Timothy Mullen Jr., Devin Bedell and Cody Gayer, all of Pittsfield, and Kayla Stebbins and David Stebbins of Laconia; and her significant other, Terry Hartshorn of Rochester.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
