Ruth Mandy Ainsworth passed from this life 6/8/1997.
She was born 7/31/1909 to George W. & Mary Ellen Mixon Akins in Whitesboro, OK. She was married to Walter Jefferson (Buddy) Ainsworth 9/16/1925 in Hugo, OK. Buddy & Ruth moved from Durant, OK to Oklahoma City in 1960.
She is survived by 3 sons & 4 daughters, W.J. of Konawa, OK, George Ray of Huntington, Ark, Henry Dale of Cortez, CO, Melba Risner of Keller, TX, Wanda Sue Davis of Oklahoma City, Oma Jo Hill of Tuttle, Joy Ann Phelps of Oklahoma City, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, & 7 great great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, on 10/7/1988, 3 brothers, Tal, John, & Roy Akins, 3 sisters, Mae Langston, Fannie Akins, & Mindy Treadway, and her parents, George & Mary. Ruth was known for her giving spirit, bright personality, and zest for life.
Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, 6/10/1997, at the South Colonial chapel. Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary.
