Elodeous Baxter, 73, 917 Josiah St., died Sept. 16, 1998, in Flagler Hospital East. She was a lifelong resident of St. Augustine, and she was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. F.D. Richardson Jr., pastor of St. Paul AME Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Chase chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. Saturday until the hour of services.
Survivors include her husband, Dewey Baxter, St. Augustine; daughters, Loretta Bowen, Katherine Baxter, Darla Douglas, all of St. Petersburg, Patricia Mack, St. Augustine; a brother, Tommy Given, St. Augustine; one sister, Rebecca Hightower, St. Augustine; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives.
