Judge Cleaveland died Friday, Jan. 30, 1981, at a nursing home in Chillicothe. Funeral services for Judge A.B. Cleaveland Monday, Feb 2 at the Breckenridge United Methodist church. He had retired Jan. 1, 1971 after serving as probate Judge in Caldwell County for 32 years. He had also served as magistrate judge in Chillicothe 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Cleaveland; three sons, Lloyd Cleaveland of Chillicothe, John Cleaveland of Columbia and Bruce Cleaveland who lives in Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
