John G. Wagner Jr., a chef for the Airport Holiday Inn, died of cancer Sunday at his home. He was 72. Mr. Wagner was born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner for three years. He served in the Marines during World War II. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Taranto Wagner; a son, John Wagner III; three daughters, Celina Hollingsworth, Helen Paredes and Cynthia Molina; a sister, Helen Wang; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today at 9 a.m. at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Burial will be in Garden of Memories. Times Picayune 01-30-1990
