Mrs. Alta Grace Area, 43, Mayetta, died Sunday, May 20 at a Topeka hospital. Cause of death was unavailable.
She was a cook at a number of restaurants and had been employed by a dress company at Holton several years.
Mrs. Area was born Oct. 7, 1940, at Axtell, the daughter of Alfred B. and Margaret Rettele Hasenkamp. She attended Bancroft schools. She lived at Soldier, St. Marys and Havensville before she moved to Mayetta in 1975.
She married Robert E. Area Oct. 31, 1961, at Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Robert, James and Michael; two daughters, Beverly and Mary Ann; a brother, Robert Hasenkamp, Soldier; three sisters: Marilee Jerome, Noreen Steinlage and Jane Henry.
