Bertie Lee Bookter, age 64, a longtime resident of Manchaca died Tuesday. She was born November 12, 1935, in Sorrento, Louiana, and graduated from St. Amant High School. Mrs. Bookter retired from Sears at Barton Creek Mall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Sr. and Julia Tanner Lee; and siblings, Stella Tullier, Robert Lee Jr., Thomas Lee and Joseph Lee. Survivors are her husband, Fred Bookter, son, David Bookter; daughter, Bonnie Ianace; and siblings, Violet Darmond, Milton Lee, Edmund Lee, Mercedes LeBlanc, Eli Lee, Elvina Schexnayder and Garner Ray Lee. The family will receive friends at Harrell Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. funeral services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Manchaca Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Gautier, officiating. Burial will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park, San Leana. Arrangements with Harrell Funeral Home, Autin 443-1366.
