She was the wife of Daniel Davey, a shoemaker, whom she married on October 6, 1818 in Braintree, Essex, and mother of Alfred, Mary Ann, James, John, Emma, Walter, Jane and Arthur Davey. A gravestone at St Andrew's church in Halstead commemorates Daniel Davey (died 1855 aged 58) and Mary Davey (died 1867 aged 68).
