Marie Hart Collins, 83, a warm and caring Christian whose main concern was bringing others to the Lord, died Monday, May 18, 2009.
A resident of Manatee County, Fla., since 1958, she was a homemaker and an early childhood educator. She worshipped with members of the Palmetto Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by her parents, C. Ray and Essie Lee Hart.
Survivors include one son, W. Edwin Collins of Brandon, Fla.; and one sister, Sue McMahan of Cleveland.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kicliter Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be held on Wednesday, May 27, in the Manasota Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Palmetto Church of Christ or to the Serenoa Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society.
Kicliter Funeral Home of Palmetto, Fla., is in charge of arrangements.
