Joshua Wilson Ford

Joshua Wilson Ford, 23, of Hendersonville,NC arrived safely in the arms of our loving savior Jesus Christ on Friday May 15, 2009.
He was born in Henderson County, the son of James Richard Ford of Pisgah Forest and Kathy Williams of Hendersonville and had been an area resident all of his life. He was a graduate of Hendersonville High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was employed for many years at Dolly's Ice Cream in Pisgah Forest, was a volunteer at Valley Hill Fire Department, and was currently attending Blue Ridge Community College to become a full time firefighter. He was member of the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jimmy Ford and his wife Tasha of Piedmont, SC; two sisters, Jennifer King of Brevard and Sherry Mathis of Central, SC; grandmother, Barbara "Ma" Moore of Edneyville; grandfather Charles Jones of Zirconia; his step-father Gregg Williams of Hendersonville and his girlfriend, Mika Cagle of Hendersonville.
Funeral services will be held at 12 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville. The Rev. Ryan Pack will officiate. Members of Valley Hill Fire Department will provide honors and act as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
