Laurie Jane Marlatt, 31, of Rushville, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at her residence.

Born March 8, 1975, in Rushville, she was the daughter of Mick and Alice (Atkinson) Saunders; both survive. She married Paul Marlatt June 24, 1995; he survives.

Mrs. Marlatt lived her entire life in Rush County and was a 1993 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. She had worked at Dr. Winters office since 1994 as an expanded dental assistant. She was a member of Lewisville Presbyterian Church where she had served as a deacon. She had also been very active with Relay for Life and was a member of the County Patchwork Home Ec Club.

Survivors in addition to her parents and husband include one son, Levi Marlatt of Rushville; one brother, Rob Saunders of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Amanda Saunders of Fishers; and grandmother, Marie Saunders of Lewisville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with the Rev. Linda Philabaun and Pastor Mick Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to the trust fund being established at Citizens State Bank for her son Levi's education.
