Orlando, Fla., resident and Polk County, Ga., native Hollice E. (Bill) Hill, 77, died Feb. 19, 2000 at his home.

A department of corrections law enforcement officer, a retired member of the U.S. Marine Corps serving his country in World War II, Korea and Vietnam and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Wade A. and Elsie Wheeler Hill.

He is survived by sisters, Annie Bolt of Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. View Cemetery with Garvin Haley officiating. Military graveside rites will be administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from noon to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at High's.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
