After being seriously ill for one day, George W. Anderson, 72, of Bristoria, died at 11:15 Friday, July 2, 1948, in his home.

A son of the late Morris and Elizabeth Phillips Anderson, he was born in Wetzel County, W. Va., but spent most of his life in Richhill Township, Greene County. He was a retired employee of the Peoples Gas Company.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Gilmer Anderson, and the following children: L. D. Anderson, Washington; Bertha, wife of Ralph B. Scott, Waynesburg; James R., Holbrook; Howard R., Waynesburg; Wilma, wife of George Shelton, Bridgeton, N. J.; Freda, wife of Delmar Inghram, Selena, Calif., and Gladis, wife of Adrian Fletcher, Washington.

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and four brothers, John, Wheeling, W. Va.; Spencer, Wind Ridge; Hugh, Washington, R. D. 2, two sisters, Mrs. Belle Parson and Marian Anderson, are deceased.
