Arrange rites for Joe Adams
Services for Well Known Rockcreek Man to Be Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Joe Adams, 69, prominent farmer of Rockcreek township who died Saturday noon at his home on Road 7 east of Elizabethtown, will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Elizabethtown Methodist church. The Rev. Perry O. Daniels of the Grammer Presbyterian church will be in charge. Burial will be made in the Springer cemetery.

Mr. Adams was born and spent his entire life in the home where he died. He engaged in farming all his life and was well known in this and nearby counties. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and Red Men lodge. He had been ailing a year and his condition had been serious since last November.

Mr. Adams was married twice. His first wife, Laura Cook Adams, died many years ago. His second wife was Miss Jessie Hildebrand. She and four children by the first wife survive. They are Mrs. Edith Jackson of Cumberland, Mrs. Esta Harris of Dayton, Ohio, Chester Adams of Greeley, Colo., and Mrs. Beatrice Wells of Houston, Tex. There are also seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, L. C. Adams of Elizabethtown.
