Alvin C. Van Sickle Retired Farmer, Dies at Marengo, OH d. 9-10-1946 age 86
Alvin Chase Van Sickle, 86, retired farmer, died Tuesday morning at the home of his son, Frank Van Sickle in Marengo, OH, after more than two years illness. His wife, Mrs. Amy Jordan Van Sickle, died 2 years ago.
He was born in Peru Township, Morrow Co., OH October 24, 1859, the son of Orrin and Elizabeth Van Sickle.
Mr. Van Sickle leaves two sons, Hubert and Frank Van Sickle, both of Marengo, OH. One daughter Mrs. Mabel Beacom of Marengo; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 half-sisters, Mrs. Blanche Haycook of Mansfield, OH and Mrs. Ida Jordan of Marengo, OH.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the Fargo Wesleyan Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fargo cemetery by H. E. Jacobs Funeral Home.
