DENNIS AKINS, 52, of Van Buren died Friday, January 23, 2004, in a local hospital. He was a television repair technician for Tower TV in Fort Smith. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Arkansas Retired Military Association.

Graveside memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

He is survived by two daughters, Kim Madsen of Fort Smith and Melissa Fowler of Kibler; his mother, Wanda Hatfield of Van Buren; two sisters, Brenda Cate of Van Buren and Delona Nash of Fort Smith; a brother, Bryan Bagwell of Van Buren; and a grandchild.
