I found this grave while searching for my great grandfather Joseph (Gerandino) Black's family. My great grandfather had a brother listed in the 1870 Bexar County Census as Julius age 1, the spelling of the last name was Gernadines on the Census. My great grandfather also named one of his sons Julius. The family changed their last name to Black from Gerandino for reasons unknown. This child was named Julius and lived around the same time as my great grandfather's brother. If anyone comes across this findagrave and knows anything more please let me know. If I am assuming wrong about this child being my great grandfather's brother please also let me know. All my great grandfather's siblings can be accounted for except for Julius and a sister named Lina listed on the 1870 Bexar County Census. I found my great grandfather Joseph (Gerandino) Black buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery just East of downtown San Antonio. There are no other accounts of any other Julius Black living in San Antonio during this time period. The date of birth on this graveside is questionable.
