Afton May Mines Black "Beloved" Our beloved mother, grandmother, GG and friend left this mortal existence surrounded by her family January 22, 2005 due to natural causes. Born to Rosella May Phelps and Leland Clyde Mines July 1, 1920.

Married Woodrow W Black in Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 3, 1941. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one grandchild and one
great-grandchild. She is survived by her six children, Kenneth (Debbie)Murray; Roger (Kathy) West Jordan; David (Eunice) Holladay; Sharlet Malinsky (Bob) Salt Lake; Joseph (Kathy) West Valley; Shirley Oberg (Mark) Murray; her
sisters Ila Nelson, Joyce Welch, 31 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

She lived a life of service to her family, church and community. She was an active Latter-day Saint serving in many callings. She served a mission in her senior years to Louisville, KY. She was a true and dear friend to all who knew her. A 100% day for her was hearing from all six of her children and being of service to others. The family thanks the nurses of Community Nursing Hospice care. Funeral Services will be held at Belview Ward 6300 S. 300 East, Murray, Friday Jan. 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S State St.,
Murray and one hour prior to services.

Interment Murray City Cemetery.
