Deceased Name: Arlene Allison Foster
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Arlene Allison Foster, 83, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Orange County, she was the wife of the late James Paul Foster and daughter of the late George Washington and Annie Horner Allison. She was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Workers Sunday School Class and Senior Citizens Group of the church. A retired employee of the Singer Sewing Machine Company, she loved to travel, cook and share her food with other people.

Surviving are sister, Mrs. Katherine A. Glosson, of Burlington, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Virgie Woods, Frances Rimmer and Clarice Bradsher; and a brother, Elbert Allison.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Dr. Sidney Huggins III. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Foster will remain at Lowe Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
